Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Support individual students and small groups with programming, problem-solving, testing and debugging under the direction of the supervising teacher; Provide feedback and coaching on student code; assessment and grading remain the responsibility of the teacher; Assist with preparing and testing coding activities, demonstrations and instructional resources; Provide technical and logistical support during practical lessons and help maintain Computer Science resources and equipment; Support project-based learning and, where appropriate, Computer Science clubs, competitions or other co-curricular activities; Contribute to a safe, inclusive and collaborative learning environment, modelling responsible and ethical use of technology. Required Knowledge & Skills: Advanced English; Working knowledge of at least one text-based programming language. Must know Java; Understanding of fundamental programming concepts including variables, conditionals, loops, functions and data structures; Ability to read, test and debug code; Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills; Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and patiently to beginning programmers. Desired Knowledge & Skills Familiarity with Python and JavaScript; Familiarity with visual/block-based programming; Knowledge of object-oriented programming; Familiarity with Git/GitHub; Interest or experience in graphics, animation, creative coding or web technologies; Understanding of basic computer architecture and networking.
